2025 Belmont Vineyard Riesling
Orange, NSW
Excellent colour with plenty of green tints and some background yellow. Aromas have plenty of florals but also lime juice and mineral notes. A very vibrant palate with citrus/lime and fresh apple characters. As mentioned the sugar is there but not obvious, so in tasting this wine don’t expect it to be ‘sweet’, as the acidity offers perfect contrast.

Wine Profile
Vinification
The fruit was handpicked before being transported to the Hunter
Valley and whole bunch pressed. The free run was then fermented cold in stainless steel while the pressings went to older barrels for natural fermentation. This help to build complexity and weight to
balance the juicy acidity. The final step was to make sure the two parcels worked together as a blend. They did!
Winemaker Comments
The second release of a Brokenwood Riesling since our very popular 2019 Four Winds Riesling from the Canberra District. The Belmont Vineyard is located 14km South-South-West of the City of Orange in Central NSW. The vineyard is one of the coolest vineyards in the region at an elevation of 1010m, and has long supplied Sauvignon Blanc of our Cricket Pitch White Blend.
An excellent season in Orange, with a mild and even Spring-Summer coupled with timely rainfall made for a relatively comfortable growing season. The fruit was harvested in excellent condition, under clear skies on the 25th March.
Food Pairing
