Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz
First produced in 1983, the Graveyard Shiraz is a carefully classified selection of the best parcels, predominantly sourced from the vineyard's oldest plantings (these blocks are called Pa's, Middle, End & 7 Acre).
This Shiraz has earned its place among Australia’s finest, being included in the inaugural Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine and elevated to the prestigious ‘1st Classified’ category in 2010, a status it proudly maintains. Langton's describes it as “intensely perfumed, sumptuous, and seductive,” capturing the very essence of Hunter Valley Shiraz. It is widely regarded as the finest red wine of the region's contemporary era.
The Shiraz showcases mid-density colour with vibrant purple hues. The use of large French oak barrels allows the red spice and bramble fruit of the Hunter Shiraz to shine. The wine offers a supple palate, guided by the crucial acidity that underpins its structure and longevity.
