The vibrant mulberry colour jumps out of the glass immediately. Blackcurrant and Kakadu plum notes on the nose prepares you clearly for the crunchy Cabernet characters on the palate. This wine can easily be chilled during the warmer weather as it is a lighter styled red. With minimal sulphur additions this wine is made for easy drinking, while the tannins hold just firm enough to be a serious accompaniment to your favourite puttanesca or lamb ragu.

Our Twenty70 range is built with sustainability at its heart, made from Sustainable Wine Growing (SWA) certified vineyards in our certified SWA winery. This wine is vegan friendly, made with minimal sulphur additions.

Winemaker Comments
Some new varieties became available for us to play with as a result of the Oakey Creek vineyard purchase. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz. These wines were fermented as three separate parcels, each picked at optimum ripeness, and blended just prior to bottling. The two Twenty70 wines are a pigeon-pair representing what the Oakey Creek vineyard site can do.
Food Pairing
Pair with your favourite puttanesca or lamb ragu.
Each parcel was fermented in small open fermenters and pumped over daily to ensure plushness of fruit while completing their alcoholic fermentations. They were then pressed to old oak puncheons (500L) and barriques (228L) for malolactic fermentation and ageing. Topped regularly and blended, with minimal sulphur added.
Drinking very well now or over the short term.
