Quite pale as a young wine which is typical of Sauvignon Blanc that hasn’t seen oak. Lifted talc notes and varietal herbaceous character but definitely not over the top. A lively palate and at 12% alcohol has a lovely softness to the mouth feel. The talc and passionfruit notes give a flavoursome palate aided by a juicy acidity. Excellent drinking as the weather warms up.
With Orange the last region to be picked, the day temperatures can be on the cool side. Even so, the fruit is machine picked at night and trucked to the Hunter Valley on the day of harvest and immediately
pressed. After pressing, the clean juice is racked and an even, cool ferment conducted with aromatic yeasts. Matured in 100% stainless steel (no oak).
