VIC & NSW
Perfect, pale green colour and lifted grapefruit aromas. The minimal oak sits nicely with the fine, juicy citrus flavours on the palate accompanied by subtle bran meal. The driving force of this wine is the acidity – long and pure. Approximately two-thirds from Beechworth the balance being from a combination of the Yarra Valley, Tumbarumba and the Hunter Valley. The final components of this wine basically selected themselves. Another top-notch vintage!
CRU $315.00 SVC $297.00
The wine saw oxidative handling, which results in low phenolics and ultimately, a greater complexity. A combination of pure yeast ferments with small parcels of wild ferments.
Sufficient winter rainfall in 2020 following on from the drought and fires of 2019/20, saw the vines off to a great bud burst. A near perfect early growing season saw the vines in good health before a very compact harvest at Beechworth for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir due to rainfall in mid-January. Grapes were picked in clear weather at perfect ripeness.
Rich seafood, pasta and light meat dishes.
Drinking very well now or over the short term.
