2011 HBA Shiraz
New Release
Hunter Valley, NSW / McLaren Vale, SA
At 12 years on release, the depth of colour is impressive with aged brick-red hues.Secondary characters are starting to show on the nose; iodine, sweet earthy notes plus dark chocolate complimented by the French Oak. The palate is fine and medium to full bodied with Christmas cake notes and a long core of fruit. The oak and fruit integration is seamless giving a long finish. A perfect example of an aged Australian Shiraz

Wine Review
(96/100)
Good depth of brick-red colour, tawny on the edges and showing its age. The bouquet is very earthy and savoury, with Bonox/beef stock, some clean leather hints, the primary fruit all having mellowed away by now. The wine is medium-full bodied and again very savoury on the palate, with lovely silky texture and drink-me-now charm. A complex, fully mature wine that will appeal to lovers of aged reds.
