Lights, camera, Hunter Valley. 🎥🍷
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming @samanthabrowntravels and her crew to Brokenwood as part of filming for an upcoming episode of her award-winning travel series, ‘Places to Love’.
With golden afternoon light across our iconic Graveyard Vineyard, a few curious kangaroos making cameo appearances, and a guided walk through the vines with Winemaker Kate Sturgess, it was a picture-perfect day to showcase the beauty of the Hunter Valley.
The visit finished with a tasting of some of our most celebrated Hunter Valley wines.
We can’t wait to see Brokenwood and the @huntervalley showcased to a global audience when the @destination_nsw episode airs in early 2027.
Long weekend plans? We’ve got an idea. 👇

It’s actually no secret that The Wood Restaurant is fired by wood, inspired by flavour. 🔥
From the flame to the plate, fire is at the heart of what we do, bringing a little extra char, smoke and seriously good flavour to the table.
Pair it with a glass of Brokenwood and you’ve got lunch in the @huntervalley sorted. 🍷
The vision at Brokenwood has always been simple: ENJOY GREAT WINE and have FUN! 🍷
And honestly? Nothing beats a full Cellar Door of people doing exactly that.
That’s the vision. ❤️

After tasting through 52 individual Chardonnay barrels as part of the 2026 Hunter Chardonnay classification, there was plenty to say - but could the team sum up the vintage in just one word?
Stuart: Consistent
Kate: Exciting
Hayden: Complex
Dave: Thought-provoking
Good things are coming from the 2026 vintage. 🥂

Think winter means the vineyard is taking a break? Think again. 🌱
While the vines are dormant, our cover crops are hard at work - protecting the soil, supporting biodiversity and setting the vineyard up for the season ahead.
Hear from our Sustainability Lead, Lorrae, as she explains exactly what we’ve planted in our cover crops in the Graveyard Vineyard this winter.

TOP 5 RED STAR WINERY ⭐
Brokenwood has once again been named a Top 5 Red Star Winery in the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion.
Those shiny red stars represent more than a decade of consistency, craftsmanship and excellence. It’s an honour reserved for wineries that continually produce outstanding wines across their range, year after year.
As Halliday explains, a Top 5 Red Star is awarded to wineries with a long-standing track record of excellence, typically maintaining a 5-star rating for 10 consecutive years and producing multiple wines rated 95 points or higher.
In other words? “The best of the best” 🍷
