We’re A Finalist!!

There’s something special about this time of year in the Hunter Valley, and in 2026, it comes with an extra reason to celebrate.

On Thursday 21 May, the Brokenwood team will step out for one of the region’s most anticipated events… the HVWTA Hunter Valley Legends Awards. It’s a night dedicated to recognising the people, places, and experiences that continue to shape and elevate our industry, honouring both the Living Legends and the next generation of talent.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Brokenwood has been nominated for Cellar Door of the Year, an award that means so much to our team who work tirelessly to create memorable, welcoming experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. After last years’ phenomenal win of this trophy the question is… could we win it two years in a row?

Even more exciting is the recognition of our winemaking team. Chief Winemaker Stuart Hordern has been named a finalist for Winemaker of the Year, while Winemaker Hayden Tinkler is a finalist for Young Achiever of the Year. It’s a fantastic acknowledgement of the passion, skill, and dedication they bring to every vintage.

Whatever the outcome, we feel incredibly fortunate to be recognised alongside such outstanding peers. Congratulations to all the nominees and finalists. We’re in great Hunter company, and look forward to celebrating our region together!
