After an extraordinary year where the Halliday Wine Companion Tasting Team assessed more than 8,000 wines from 945 wineries across Australia, only one could take out the top honour. We’re proud to share that Brokenwood Wines has been named the 2026 Halliday Winery of the Year.

This incredible honour celebrates over five decades of passion, innovation, and our enduring philosophy to ‘make great wine and have fun’. It reflects a relentless commitment to crafting the best wines possible, and ensuring Brokenwood continues to evolve, improve, and thrive for generations to come. Quality never goes out of style.

  • 2023 Tallawanta Vineyard Shiraz (Hunter Valley) – 98 points
  • 2023 1899 Old Vines Vineyard Semillon (Hunter Valley) – 97 points
  • 2023 Rayner Vineyard Shiraz (McLaren Vale) – 97 points
  • 2023 Wildwood Road Cabernet Sauvignon (Margaret River) – 97 points

In 2026, with nearly 10,000 votes cast nationwide, Brokenwood was proudly ranked 3rd for Best Winery Experience in Australia. For the third consecutive year, we’ve secured a place in the national Top 10, and remain the only New South Wales winery on the list.
