We are excited to announce that our new cellar door, Cru Bar + Pantry and The Wood Restaurant will be open from Saturday 8th December 2018. Designed by Sydney's Villa & Villa, the striking building houses a range of flexible spaces, all themed around the enjoyment of great wine.
“This marks a significant moment in Brokenwood’s history. Our current Cellar Door was built in the 70’s so this new venture means a lot to us, but most importantly it will allow for more fun and exciting wine experiences for our dedicated customers”. – Managing Director, Iain Riggs AM
The Cellar Door
Our state-of-the-art cellar door complex is unlike any other in the Hunter Valley. Gone is the traditional long central bar, instead, we have opted for customer-focused wine pods allowing a unique and seamless experience.
In a nod to Brokenwood legends past, a lookout and education space has been dedicated to long standing Vineyard Manager, the late Keith Barry (KB). The space also includes an impressive wine museum with floor to ceiling glass overlooking the working barrel hall.
Cru Bar + Pantry
Open for breakfast and lunch, The Cru Bar + Pantry offers casual dishes including shared cheese and charcuterie plates, wood fired pizza, homemade pies, toasties and sweets. Picnic packs are also available for parents to relax on the front lawn while the children play.
Relax by the fire or out on the terrace with a rare drop thanks to an Enomatic wine dispenser that allows previously not-for-tasting and museum wines to be available. A revolving calendar of events, music, pop-up guest chefs and food trucks will be on offer on our entertainment terrace.
The Wood Restaurant
Renowned local hospitality duo, Andrew and Janet Wright, will offer a contemporary fine dining experience at The Wood Restaurant. The restaurant will be open for lunch daily, and dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, with a focus on local Australian produce, paired with Brokenwood Wines.
