Brokenwood Wines is proud to celebrate another outstanding result at the 2026 Royal Queensland Wine Awards, highlighted by the prestigious Trophy for Best Semillon awarded to our 2019 ILR Reserve Semillon.

Trophy Winner: Best Semillon

The standout achievement was our 2019 ILR Reserve Semillon, which was awarded both:

Trophy for Best Semillon
Gold Medal (96 Points)

Crafted from exceptional Hunter Valley fruit, the ILR Reserve Semillon continues to showcase why Brokenwood is renowned for producing some of Australia’s most celebrated Semillons. With remarkable purity, freshness and the ability to age gracefully for decades, this wine is a benchmark for the variety.

Those shiny red stars represent more than a decade of consistency, craftsmanship and excellence. It’s an honour reserved for wineries that continually produce outstanding wines across their range, year after year.

As Halliday explains, a Top 5 Red Star is awarded to wineries with a long-standing track record of excellence, typically maintaining a 5-star rating for 10 consecutive years and producing multiple wines rated 95 points or higher.
