2026 Hunter Valley Wine Show Results

The 2026 Hunter Valley Wine Show has provided an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and age-worthiness of Hunter Valley wines, with Brokenwood receiving strong recognition across a range of Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz entries. A particular highlight was the performance of the 2019 ILR Reserve Semillon, which received four trophies, including the Petrie-Drinan Trophy for Best White Wine of the Show. The wine was also recognised as the Best Single Vineyard White Wine and Best Semillon, alongside the trophy for Best Two-Year-Old and Older Semillon.

Those shiny red stars represent more than a decade of consistency, craftsmanship and excellence. It’s an honour reserved for wineries that continually produce outstanding wines across their range, year after year.

As Halliday explains, a Top 5 Red Star is awarded to wineries with a long-standing track record of excellence, typically maintaining a 5-star rating for 10 consecutive years and producing multiple wines rated 95 points or higher.
